Protection of the working surfaces of high pressure grinding rolls

Hexadur® technology from Koeppern (Germany) is discussed in comparison with the existing technologies for protecting the working surface of rolls installed in High Pressure Grinding Rolls (HPGR). Hexadur® is described, and an analysis of the cost-effectiveness of the technology for protecting the working surfaces of existing and new HPGR in the cement industry is given.
