Environmental Ranking of Cement

Due to the significant impact of CO2 emissions on climate change, cement manufacturers are making efforts to reduce those at their plants. To make it easier for authorities and the public to evaluate the results of these efforts, a method is proposed for rating cement, which takes into account, in addition to the specific CO2 emissions from the production, the compressive strength of mortar based on this cement and cured for 28 days.
