New possibilities for prediction of cement setting time and strength with ultrasonic systems
The principle of operation of the Ultrasonic IP 8 system, developed by Ultratest (Germany) and supplied to Russia by OOO RVS, is based on measuring the propagation speed of ultrasonic waves in a sample of the material in-situ. The system makes it possible to test products in factory and research laboratories, in order to determine the setting time of cements and other binders, mortars and concrete based on those, and their elastic modulus.
