High-chromium alloys in the manufacture of liner plates for ball mills

Liner plates made of high-chromium alloy developed by the specialists of OOO Metallurg-Proekt were tested in single-chamber ball mills grinding high-abrasive material. It was established that after the operating time of 15,000 machine hours, the liner plates are quite suitable for further operation and, therefore, the developed alloy is promising for the manufacture of lining for clinker grinding equipment. In December 2019, pilot batches of non-classifying liner plates of the first chamber and classifying liner plates of the second chamber for a cement mill of dimensions O3.2 x 15 m were made of high-chromium alloy. Testing of these liner plates is currently underway.
