LafargeHolcim in Russia: quality control in cement production and material research

The article covers quality control in cement production at the Volsk, Ferzikovo and Schurov plants of LafargeHolcim Russia, and operations of its R&D center in Moscow. All four organizations are part of the LafargeHolcim group of companies. LafargeHolcim's laboratories employ highly skilled personnel and run on modern analytical and testing equipment. The facilities use X-Ray spectrum, X-Ray diffraction, petrographic, particle size distribution, and other types of analyses. Regular testing and interlaboratory comparison studies are key to maintaining the quality of LafargeHolcim's products at a high level. The R&D center, fitted with high-precision equipment, develops mix designs, conducts tests of concretes, dry building mortars, and other materials.
