Take control of your power – using power audits

Power consumption to clinker is a major variable cost driver in clinker production. JAMCEM has benchmarks for power to clinker based on a global database and can determine the gap between actual and benchmark performance for any plant. The main tool which is applied for closing any identified gap is the power audit. At its simplest level, this methodology breaks down the plant into significant drives and compares actual with theoretical performance to determine where actions are needed to optimise power to clinker. This can be completed entirely on a remote basis with data input from the plant team and in practice has produced a comprehensive list of specific actions to be taken which have given excellent results when applied.
