Ground GBFS: composition, activation and efficiency improvement
Consumers prefer other types of cement to slag-Portland cement in the concrete mix. Slag Portland cement slows the setting rate of concrete. This paper shows that granulated blast-furnace slag from Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant consists mainly of melilite glass and melilite, and contains a significant amount of low-base hydrates of the tobermorite group. A certain amount of mineral additives can be added during grinding to activate the slag which is ground separately from cement to ensure its high fineness of grinding.| Author: I.M. Ivanov, L.Ya.
