Cement industry in Russia in 2020

55.9 million tons of cement were produced in Russia in 2020. Total of 10 corporations, 51 cement plants, 3 grinding and mixing plants were the main providers of output. Clinker was produced in 32 dry process kilns, 82 wet process kilns and 3 combined process kilns. Over 60% of output was produced with energy-saving technologies in use, which is 2% more than in 2019 and 1.6 times more than 7 years ago. 5 largest cement producers accounted for more than 62% of total volume. The 10 largest corporations control almost 87% of the cement market. In 2020 1.1 million tons of cement were exported from Russia and 1.4 million tons were imported to the country.
