Predictive diagnostics in the cement industry, upside potential

Predictive diagnostics systems solve many problems, including data collection and processing, forecasting of equipment failures, operation optimization and enhancing production efficiency in general. This article describes PRANA (Predictive Analytics) hardware and software system for forecasts and remote monitoring produced by a Russian enterprise ROTEK. PRANA software allows to detect a potential flaw by analyzing a deviation from the standard operations based on nonstandard behavior of just one out of several equipment measures, and define probable causes of a defect before it becomes a disruption for the operations. The article discusses the architecture of the system, its operations and the possible applications in the cement industry.
