Conveyor-belt online analyzer using the tagged neutron method

The characteristics of the AGP-K in-stream analyzer ope rating by the tagged neutron method are discussed. The  analyzer makes it possible to obtain data on the elemental composition of material on the conveyor belt every 40 s. The tagged neutron method consists in irradiation of the material by fast neutrons with 14 MeV of energy and registration of the characteristic γ-radiation from inelastic neutron scattering reactions. The results of AGP-K application for elemental analysis of materials are presented.
