Influence of the cross profile of ball drum mills lining on the mode and power parameters of the charge
A brief analysis of grinding equipment used for grind-ing materials in the cement industry is presented. It is expected that in the coming years ball drum mills will remain the main grinding unit in large-tonnage pro-duction. One of the main directions of improvement in the design of ball drum mills is to create a lining that would significantly intensify the process of grinding the material. The existing theory of calculating the mode of motion of grinding bodies is considered, its shortcomings are pointed out. A new approach to calculating the speed and energy parameters of the charge is suggested. The equations for calculation of the ball break-off and drop angles (taking into ac-count the height of the projections on the lining), the velocities at the moment of ball break-off from the lining and at the moment of drop at the point of impact, the kinetic, potential and total energy of the ball at the moment of its impact are obtained. Graphical results of calculations are given and analyzed.Author: V.S. Bogdanov, S.I. Antsiferov, D.V. Bogdanov, E.A. Sychev |
