Cement terminals

Information is given on the construction and mo dernization by Italian Euromecc s. r. l. of cement terminals in various countries of the world. The main technical characteristics of the terminal facilities and equipment are given. In the suburbs of Paris the company built for the international holding company LafargeHolcim (current name - Holcim) a terminal with a capacity of 9000 tons, allowing to receive and ship cement in bulk by ships, in cement trucks and railway cars. Taking into consideration the climatic specifics of the archipelago, the terminal on the Faroe Islands (Denmark) is designed and built in such a way as to ensure reliable protection of structures and equipment against wind, rain and sea water. The article also describes the projects to modify the cement silos in Malta and to expand the terminal in Sri Lanka
