Cements with limestone: materials of the future are available now

Russian construction industry sets the requirements to the market of construction materials and concrete, in particular, the requirements dictated by the current conditions of its development are to increase the average class of concrete, to reduce the carbon footprint of materials. An effective way to meet these challenges is to increase the efficiency of using domestic clinker to produce Portland cement through the introduction of mineral additives such as limestone in cement. By the example of cements CEM II/A-I 42,5N(R), produced at the plants of Holcim Russia, the article shows a number of opportunities for the cement industry, allowing it to meet modern requirements for building materials.
