Reducing CO2 emissions by using “green” light weight plugging cement

The article provides information about light weight plugging cement PTC-III-Ob5-50, which was launched at the cement plant of Holcim (Rus) Ltd.  Volsk in 2021.
The carbon footprint of this cement is at least 30 % lower in comparison with general construction and plugging Portland cements without mineral additives. Using PCT-III-Ob5-50 at the objects in Tatarstan the high quality of cementing the upper intervals of production string sections was achieved.
