Mechanics of crushing media in ball tube mills with transverse-longitudinal motion of grinding bodies

The paper considers the method of calculation of kinematic parameters of the transverse-longitudinal motion of grinding bodies in a ball tube mill. The mathematical dependences allowing to calculate the angles of ball bounce from the inner surface of the mill tube and the inclined inter-chamber partition were obtained. The analysis of calculations of the ball movement trajectory and breakaway angles during the cycle is given. The intensification of grinding bodies’ motion due to their additional longitudinal displacement by the inclined inter-chamber partition is confirmed.
