Use of concrete waste for production of small items of carbonate curing
The article is devoted to studying the influence of forced accelerated carbonization of concrete debris (concrete waste) on physical and mechanical characteristics of small size products based on it. The carbonation curing unit is developed and tested in operation, and the optimal mode of carbon dioxide treatment of products is selected. The factors of strength gain by the carbonation cured material are described and the corresponding changes of its structure are registered. According to calculations, when the majority of concrete phases interact with CO2, the volume of carbonization products increases in comparison with the volume of initial solid phases.Author: I.V.
