Alternative fuel project in Gornozavodsk

AKKERMANN CEMENT has successfully implemented a project at its plant in Gornozavodsk (Perm Region), which involves collection and transportation of wood waste, preparation of alternative fuel from it and its burning in rotary clinker kilns. Once the project targets are achieved, it is expected that natural gas purchases and its consumption at the cement plant will be reduced by at least 40 million m3 per year.
