Determination of the power consumed by a centrifugal disc grinder

The article deals with the methodology of determining the power consumed by a centrifugal disk grinder for breaking particles by impact, overcoming friction forces when the impactor moves along the material layer and friction forces between material layers, overcoming friction resistance in the bearings of the disk shaft, as well as for the work of disks as a fan and for radial movement of material in the grinding chamber. The obtained analytical formulas can be applied both in the process of education and in engineering centers in the design of centrifugal disk grinders.
