Cement industry in the Republic of Korea

The article summarizes the main indicators of the cement industry in the Republic of Korea. In 2022, the country produced 51.1 Mt of cement, 1.2% more than in 2021. The annual per capita consumption of this material remained very high and fairly stable at an average of nearly 1,000 kg during 2013-2022. Cement and clinker exports, which had a declining trend during the period, decreased from 9.0 Mt in 2013 to 2.6 Mt in 2022.
