On the compatibility of cements with plasticizing additives
The paper deals with the problems of compatibility of cement with organic modifiers of rheological properties of cement dough as estimated by the Kantro's method on a mini cone. It is noted that the consistency of systems based on Portland cement is affected by a number of factors, including the type and dosage of additives, the material composition of cement, fineness of grinding, pre-hydration, as well as the content of dusty and clay impurities in fine aggregates. It is shown that the results of tests by the accelerated Kantro's method can be used to adjust the composition of concrete mixtures and control the persistence of their rheological characteristics over time.
