Outlook on thermal clay calcination by 2035
Information is provided on calcined clay production technologies and the benefits of its input into cement composition, including energy saving and reduction of CO2 emissions. In 2023, the total annual production capacity of calcined clay plants worldwide was 3.45 Mt. This is projected to grow to 9.4 Mt in 2030, 13.7 Mt in 2035 and 115 Mt in 2050.Author: J. Harder |
