Physical and mechanical properties of Portland cement with addition of crushed stone production wastes.
The paper presents the results of determination of activity of diabase-porphyritic rock fines (DPF), which is formed during grading of crushed stone and used as a mineral additive. The influence of DPF on physical and mechanical properties and frost resistance of mortars and concretes based on cements containing it has been investigated. It is shown that when up to 30 % of DPF is added to cement, the frost resistance of composite materials based on it is higher than when an equal amount of mineral additives obtained from rocks of sedimentary origin is added.
