Pre-crushing systems in modern cement grinding plants

This paper reviews the system of clinker precrushing with impact-centrifugal mills as an alternative to roller crushers. The method of impact-centrifugal grinding allows to obtain material characterized by the following quality indicators: high specific surface area and physico-chemical activity of particles, a narrow particle size distribution. An industrial process system of clinker pre-crushing from ZAO Ural-Omega is proposed, which allows to reduce the power consumption of existing cement ball mills by 20-40 %. The capacity of the presented pre-crushing system is 100 t/h, which meets the modern needs of cement production facilities. Incorporation of an impact-centrifugal crusher and a cascade air classifier into the process flow diagram allows to change the process in the ball mill into the “fine” grinding mode.
