Modeling of the kinetics of grinding bodies operation in a ball drum mill
The article considers the need for modeling the modes of operation of ball charges of tube ball mills. The description of the investigated digital model of a tube ball mill is given. The basic parameters of interaction of the armored lining material with grinding bodies, as well as the varying parameters of the virtual experiment are determined. The velocities of motion of grinding bodies of the ball charge at different charge coefficients and the influence of the number of lifters in the lining profiles on the character of motion of grinding bodies are analyzed. The relationships between the average speed of motion of the ball charge and the share of its slow-moving core from the number of lifters are examined. The most rational number of lifters in the lining is determined.
