Use of concrete debris as an active mineral additive in cement
On the basis of analysis of existing publications and results of research in the field of recycling the waste generated during demolition of con crete structures and consisting mainly of concrete debris, and also a detailed study of the processes occurring during carbonization and heating in the cement matrix, the authors of the article proposed methods of activation of crushed concrete for its subsequent use as an active mineral additive in cement. It is shown that the forced accelerated carbonization is an effective method of increasing the activity of crushed concrete, which allows to expand the area of secondary use of this material in construction.
