Use of carbonate-containing deposits of heat exchangers in the technology of obtaining sulfur materials
One of the problems for thermal power industry enterprises is scale deposition on the surfaces of heat exchange equipment. This article examines the use of carbonate-containing deposits of heat exchangers (CCDHE) in sulfur composite materials. Optimal formulations of sulfur composite material (SCM) have been identified. The physical and mechanical properties of SCMs made from thermal energy waste have been studied, and recommendations for its application have been developed. A technology for producing sulfur composite material based on carbonate-containing deposits from heat exchange equipment (CCDHE) has been developed. High physico-mechanical properties of SCM are associated with the formation of sulfide and polysulfide compounds in S + AlCl3 systems. The formation of similar sulsulfides during the interaction of sulfur and activator in compositions containing CCDHE will improve the quality of materials based on them. It can be expected that the practical application of such composites in sulfur concrete technology will yield an economic effect. They can be used, for example, for the manufacture of road and sidewalk slabs, curbs, grape stands, trays, pipes, tubing, sections of desalination plants, elements of marine berths and other structures, as well as for the arrangement of floors in industrial premises, which are subject to increased requirements for strength, frost resistance and resistance to aggressive environments.
