On the use of clinker-free slag concrete from secondary mineral resources in the production of construction materials
At present, secondary mineral resources, as valuable raw materials for the construction industry, successfully compete with natural ones due to their lower cost and the possibility of energy saving when using them. In Russia, one of the most accessible and cheap secondary mineral resources is blast furnace slag. An effective technology for its processing is activation by grinding. The article describes production processes for the manufacture of internal wall panels from concrete based on mechanically activated steel slag. The results of testing these panels are presented, confirming their suitability for use in construction. The resulting products can be used to subdivide the interior space of a house, limited by capital walls, into separate rooms.
