Cement market in Sri Lanka

The main indices of the cement industry in Sri Lanka are presented. The country has one full-cycle cement plant with an annual clinker production capacity of 900 kt. The bulk of the cement consumed in the country is imported or produced from imported clinker. In 2024, 2,086 kt of clinker were imported into the country, and also 521 kt of cement in bulk and in 50 kg bags.
