Alternative fuels in the Russian cement industry
Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF) is a byproduct of processing household, industrial, municipal, and other types of waste, producing fractions suitable for safe combustion, enabling waste recycling and conserving primary fossil fuels. The use of RDF in the cement industry is a well-established global practice. This article examines CEMENTUM's experience in using this alternative fuel in its production facilities and the company's perspective on the development prospects of this industry in Russia.
