Green innovations in cement production

This article describes ways to reduce CO₂ emissions associated with the production, transportation, and use of cement and cement-based matefrom rials. Examples of innovations aimed at this goal and their practical implementation are provided. The advantages of sustainable technologies are highlighted, including the production of blended cements; the use of alternative fuels; the use of renewable energy sources; the capture, utilization, and storage of CO₂, among other things.
