Increasing the service life of refractory linings in areas with extreme operating conditions
This article presents the experience of AO Sebryakovcement in increasing the service life of refractory linings in areas subject to high thermomechanical and chemical loads. Given the limited choice of imported refractories, AO Sebryakovcement specialists initiated technological collaboration with a Russian silicon carbide manufacturer, Volzhsky Abrasive Plant, which, at their request, developed a specialized refractory concrete adapted to the operating conditions of the cement plant's kiln lines. The article describes the design stages, installation supervision, industrial implementation, and the results achieved. Special attention is given to the ongoing testing of new concrete compositions, the economic feasibility of such technical solutions, and the prospects for further mutually beneficial cooperation.
