Mixed binder in non-autoclaved foamed concrete technology
This study examines the effect of mineral additives, wollastonite and diopside, on the aggregation stability of a foamed concrete mixture obtained from a cement-ash binder. These additives are natural calcium silicates and exhibit a chemical affinity for the clinker minerals of Portland cement and their hydration products. When they are used, the compressive strength of the cement-ash matrix of foam concrete, the stability of the foam in the mortar mixture, the viscosity of the foam concrete mixture and the coefficient of the structural quality of foam concrete increase, and a denser structure of its interpore partitions is formed.
