Prospects for using waste from cardboard production in manufacturing building materials
The potential for using cardboard production waste, kraft pulp, as a stand-alone air-curing organic material, including with fillers, has been demonstrated. Kraft pulp can also be used in conjunction with Portland cement as a component of a composite binder, the curing products of which, when used with conventional sample molding methods, have a density of up to 800 kg/m3 and a compressive strength of up to 3.50 MPa. The use of kraft pulp in construction materials technologies would expand the range of recycling options for cardboard production waste, reduce the negative impact on the environment, and improve the environmental situation in the vicinity of waste disposal sites.
