The leading construction materials supplier, which has its group headquarters at Coalville in Leicestershire, has deployed the truck as part of its Lafarge Cement business.

The government has increased the CESS levied on imported cement with effect from 17th June.

A new cement factory in Oral district in Kampong Speu province is scheduled to begin production soon, increasing the local market’s cement supply by two million tons. This will bring the total number of cement factories in Cambodia to six.

Holcim US announced a milestone clean energy investment in northeast Michigan with a new partnership to bring the company’s largest solar project in the Midwest to its cement plant in Alpena. When combined with existing renewable energy efforts, the solar initiative will help the plant self-generate 75 percent of its electric power needs with green energy—an important step toward fulfilling Holcim’s pledge to power all of its US operations with 100 percent renewable energy by 2030.
