CDP recognizes Holcim’s sustainability leadership with a double “A” ranking for climate and water management. Holcim is one of 15 companies in Europe and the first in its sector to achieve a double ‘A’ CDP score, out of 15,000 companies scored globally. This third consecutive CDP ‘A’ list ranking for Holcim recognizes its impact in decarbonizing building.

Heidelberg Materials will acquire the Mick George Group, subject to relevant competition authority approval. The Mick George Group is a market-leading construction and demolition waste (CDW) recycler in the Eastern region of the UK, with an annual revenue of around £220 million.

08.12.2022 11:41CEMEX 2050 net-zero roadmap validated by SBTi
CEMEX announced that it has validated its 2050 net-zero CO2 target through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), becoming one of the first companies in the industry to do so. The validation accounts for CEMEX’s short-term 2030 targets, previously validated by the SBTi for alignment with their 1.5ºC scenario, and long-term targets along its entire value chain.

Holcim US, the green building materials leader, has entered into its first virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) linked to renewable energy generation. The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) VPPA means that at least 38% of our total power consumption at all of our production facilities in Texas is now from wind generation.
