Ukrainian Kovalska Group Expands Its RMC Business

Kovalska, a ukrainian industrial and construction group is expanding its RMC production capacity in Kiev with an 80 m³ per hour RMC plant. The plant is located in the city of Irpin near Kiev, and is equipped with two concrete mixing units. Expanding its presence in regional markets and, in particular, in the Kiev region is part of the development strategy of the Kovalska Group.

Kovalska Group is the leading RMC producer  in Ukraine with a total capacity of 4.6 million m³ of ready-mixed concrete per year. Kovalska is also one of the largest developers in Kiev.

“Acquiring a powerful regional RMC production facility is an important step for us. The city of Irpin and the city of Bucha are leading in housing commissioning volumes in all of the Kiev region. Local construction companies do not limit their ambitions to the home region and enter the Kiev market,” says Commercial Director of Kovalska, Vitaliy Pukish.“ A new production facility in Irpen will help us improve our logistics leg, decreasing shipment intervals for our customers.”

In March 2020, the group acquired the Rozvalov Building Materials plant complex in the Lviv region. The complex includes sand and limestone quarries, limestone calcination kilns and a silicate brick production line. Kovalska also plans on setting up a new dry-mix mortars production facility with a capacity of 100,000 tpa at Rozvalov.

Kovalska Group comprises 11 enterprises, producing: concrete mixtures, reinforced concrete products, precast parts and elements for landscape design, dry mortars, granite, paint and decorative plaster. The group also includes Kovalska Real Estate company, which is actively engaged in the housing development  in Kiev.
