Granit, a transnational corporation, owned by Kovalska Group — the largest producer of building materials in Ukraine — has completed the modernization of the plant in the Korostensky district of the Zhytomyr region. About 35% of the equipment in the production complex was upgraded in nine months, and the investments amounted to 3.2 million US dollars.
Among the 17 units of new equipment commissioned at the Granit plant are:
- Nordberg C-160 jaw crusher (Finland)
- ZSW 600 × 150 vibrating grate feeder (China)
- Stationary pedestal breaker with YZH B 630 × 135 manipulator (China)
- GIL-52 screener (Ukraine);
- eight belt conveyors, SK (Ukraine);
- five shaking trays, EME 5382F6U (France).
Last year, Kovalska Group got about 1,4 million m3 of crushed stone from Granit plant for its own production needs. Kovalska Group also owns the Yemelyanovsk granite quarry in Zhitomir and limestone and sand quarries in the Lviv region.
Kovalska is also expanding the production of other building materials. In January, the group announced the opening of a dry mix plant in the Lviv region.
