The Ukrainian Kovalska Group Launches Two Dry Mix Plants Near Lviv

The largest producer of building materials in Ukraine — Kovalska Industial-Construction group — set to establish dry mixes production in the Lviv region. The group will purchase the industrial complex of Rozvadov Building Materials company, which includes two raw materials bases and a production line with kilns for limestone calcining.

The complex in the village of Rozvadov occupies the area of 140 hectares and includes a silicate brick production enterprise. One raw materials deposit is estimated at almost 10 million m³. The planned extraction volumes are 400,000 - 500,000 tpa. Kovalska is going to build another production line on this site in the next two years. The annual production capacity of the enterprise is expected to eventually reach 100,000 tons of dry mortar.

The second raw materials deposit has 6 million tons of limestone. The company plans to extract 200,000 tons every year, process it at its facilities and sell on the domestic market. Kovalska group intends to modernize the acquired production lines.

“We plan to invest in raw material development and related industries, build a new plant, create hundreds of jobs,” says general director of Kovalska Industial-Construction group Sergey Pilipenko.

Siltek products currently occupy about 7% of the Ukrainian dry mixes market. The company plans to double its market share.
