Once expansion is completed, company’s combined capacity will go up to 55.9mt from current level of 46.4mt

Holcim US announced a milestone clean energy investment in northeast Michigan with a new partnership to bring the company’s largest solar project in the Midwest to its cement plant in Alpena. When combined with existing renewable energy efforts, the solar initiative will help the plant self-generate 75 percent of its electric power needs with green energy—an important step toward fulfilling Holcim’s pledge to power all of its US operations with 100 percent renewable energy by 2030.

On 13 June, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov held a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of China Energy Song Hailiang, during which they discussed the current state of the implementation of joint projects and prospects for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation. JK Lakshmi Cement is planning to invest about Rs 8,000 crore over a six-year timeline, in order to scale up capacity to 30 million tpa from the projected 18 million tpa by end of FY24. The company’s overall aim is to ramp up to 30 million tpa by 2030.
