Ramco Cements has commissioned Line-3 at its Ramamasamy Raja Nagar (R R Nagar) plant in Tamil Nadu which boasts of 3,000 tpd capacity of clinkerisation. This is the first integrated cement line commissioned in the last 15 years in the region. The electrical energy requirement for this new line is met through the company's own wind mills. On 13 June, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov held a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of China Energy Song Hailiang, during which they discussed the current state of the implementation of joint projects and prospects for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation. During the meeting, the progress of the implementation of projects for the construction of photovoltaic stations in the Kashkadarya and Bukhara regions with a total capacity of 1000 MW and a cement plant in Samarkand region with a capacity of 3 million tons was considered in detail.
