ACC has commenced commercial production of clinker at its new Ametha cement plant in Katni district of Madhya Pradesh.
The plant has a clinker production capacity of 3.3 million tpa and a cement capacity of one million tpa. This greenfield integrated project will aid in lowest production cost of clinker and cement, and bolster ACC’s overall portfolio to 37 million tpa. In addition, this aligns with the company's growth strategy to meet evolving market demands for the cement business.
With the strategic location of the plant, Madhya Pradesh offers a logistical advantage enhancing the company’s ability to cater to critical markets efficiently.
This ESG compliant plant will also help the company to highlight its commitment to environmental responsibility with 16.3 MW of waste heat recovery system (WHRS) capacity and up to 15 percent of AFR potential.
