American company Ash Grove is completing the construction of the mill

The new mill will increase production capacity by 210,000 tonnes of cement at the Durkee plant in Oregon.

The mill will use limestone and pozzolans to partially replace clinker, making it possible to boost output while simultaneously reducing CO₂ emissions.

Ash Grove has recently acquired pozzolan mining rights in the state of Oregon. Going forward, the company plans to expand the use of pozzolans in cement production.
