An electronic auction was held by Sberbank to sell the EUROCEMENT group

On Friday, April 2, an electronic auction was held by Sberbank to sell 100% of shares of the Cypriot company GFI Investments, controlling EUROCEMENT group, as well as the rights of claim on the group loans. Final terms of the deal are being settled, the decision will be announced within a week and a half.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service announced that it received at least five applications for the purchase of EUROCEMENT group.

EUROCEMENT group is the largest producer of cement in Russia, owning 16 plants in the European part of the country. In the third quarter of 2020, due to debts, the group came under the control of Sberbank. In February 2021, the bank decided to sell the group along with its debts through the electronic platform of the Auction House of the Russian Federation (OJSC), on April 2, the final stage of the auction has been concluded.
