Approval granted to set up new cement plant

The Punjab government has approved setting up a new cement plant in Chakwal. The Cabinet Standing Committee on Legislation and Privatisation gave the green signal for the issuance of a no-objection certificate to Gharibwal Cement Limited for establishing a cement plant in Chakwal.

While addressing the meeting, the Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman described the approval of a new cement plant in Chakwal as a milestone for industrial growth that would support the construction sector and stabilise the local economy.
