In Azerbaijan in January - September 2024, the volume of cement production amounted to 3 million 65.7 thousand tons, which is 12.1 % more than in the same period last year.
This is reported by the State Statistics Committee.
In addition, Azerbaijan produced 3 million 308.3 thousand tons of cement clinker in the reporting period, which is 18.9 % more than in January-September 2023.
By October 1 this year, 86,100 tons of cement and 289,000 tons of cement clinker were stored in the warehouses of enterprises.
According to the State Customs Committee, Azerbaijan exported 609,648.63 tons of cement and cement clinker in 9 months of this year, which is 1.8 % less than in the same period last year.
At the same time, the value of exported products amounted to 37 million 738.33 thousand US dollars (6.3 % growth).
The share of export products in the reporting period amounted to 0.19 % of total exports of Azerbaijan (0.13 % in January-September 2023).
