Cement production in Tajikistan in 2024

In 2024, enterprises of the construction industry in Tajikistan increased their production by 558.5 million TJS compared to the previous year, the growth rate amounted to 116.4%.

In 2024, cement production in Tajikistan reached 4.3 million tons, 120.4 thousand tons of lime, 1.9 million cubic meters of sand and gravel, 533.9 thousand cubic meters of construction concrete were produced.

It should be noted that cement enterprises during the last 7 years fully met the needs of the domestic market of Tajikistan, and also exported products to neighboring republics. The share of cement enterprises in the total volume of production of construction materials was 65%, 655.9 thousand tons of cement was exported, including 260.2 thousand tons to the Republic of Uzbekistan and 393.7 thousand tons to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for the amount of 26.5 million USD, which is 285.0 thousand tons less than the previous year. The exported cement amounted to 15.0% of the cement produced during this period.

During 2024 the new cement plant Tochiksement exported 44.4 thousand tons of cement to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for the amount of 23.1 million TJS.
