Chibabava Cimentos will install plant in Mozambique

Chibabava Cimentos laid the foundation stone for an integrated 1.0 Mta cement plant in the Sofala province in Mozambique.

The investment will be in two phases, about US$ 280m shall be provided for the first kiln line. The investment is manly by Chinese company. The company is a property developer in China with its headquarters in Hong Kong.

The plant will have a 28 MW captive power plant to overcome electricity outages and shall be operational next year.
