Cimpor is commissioning a clay calcining plant in Cameroon

Cimpor Global Holdings, which is a JV of the OYAK Group and Taiwan Cement is commissioning their 2nd clay calcining plant. 

The plant is located in Cameroon in the Sea Port of Kribi and uses the flash calcining technology to activate the clay for cement production. The unit has a 720 tpd calcined clay and a 2400 tpd cement production capacity. When under full capacity the plant will save more than 120,000 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
