On August 2, 2025, construction of a high-tech plant for the production of ballast-free railway slabs for a high-speed highway was launched in Veliky Novgorod.
The plant will have a high production capacity, allowing it to annually produce more than 100,000 assembly units and 262,000 m3 of reinforced concrete, and produce more than 3.6 million m2 of elastic layer. These volumes will provide a significant part of the demand for materials for the construction of the high-speed railway.
The total investment in the project is estimated at 12 billion RUB. More than 800 jobs will be created. Construction is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2026.
The plant will be built according to the technological standards with full digitalization of all production processes.
