Huaxin Cement Malawi to install a new clinker line

Portland Cement Ltd. in Malawi, which is a member of Huaxin, has a 2000 tpd clinker production line under construction.

In 2022 Lafarge sold its stake in the company to China based Huaxin Cement, while the name has been changed back to its original name “Portland Cement Limited”.

The company operates a cement grinding station in Lunzu Blantyre. The new kiln line under construction is expected to be completed by the end of this year and shall replace imported clinker.
